On the morning of April 11th, 2010, the city of Irving, Texas imploded the old Texas Stadium. The lot was opened at 2am and the implosion was at 7am. The media were out, and they brought their own faint rainbow. |

There was a tailgate-party atmosphere among all the attendees. According to the news, booze restrictions "were not enforced." |

Just before the implosion, there was a lot of anticipation. Everyone who had cameras, from camera-enhanced smart phones to professional equipment, prepared to take pictures of the implosion. One reporter hot-footed it back to the media tent. |
